A Waldorf-inspired classroom — warm, natural and full of wonder
About the School

A Place of Warmth,
Wonder & Belonging

The Reading Tree Kindergarten is a Waldorf-inspired early childhood space rooted in rhythm, beauty, and deep care for every child's unique unfolding.

Our Story

The Reading Tree Kindergarten was founded on a simple but profound belief: the early years of childhood are sacred, and they deserve to be protected.

Nestled in the heart of Thane, Maharashtra, our school was born from a love of children, a trust in nature's rhythms, and a deep respect for the Waldorf-Steiner tradition of early childhood education.

We are not a school in the conventional sense. We are a home — warm, unhurried, and alive with story, song, art, and purposeful work. Every corner of our space is designed with intention: natural materials, soft colours, handmade things, and living plants.

Here, children are not prepared for the future. They are fully met in the present.

"Receive the children in reverence, educate them in love, and let them go forth in freedom."
— Rudolf Steiner

A Note on Our Teachers
Our educators are trained in Waldorf early childhood pedagogy and bring a quality of presence, warmth, and artistic sensitivity to the classroom. They are not just teachers — they are the living curriculum.
